فِي حَدِيثِهِ هَذَا ، أَنَّهُ مَاتَ عَلَى الْقِبْلَةِ قَبْلَ أَنْ تُحَوَّلَ رِجَالٌ ، وَقُتِلُوا فَلَمْ نَدْرِ مَا نَقُولُ فِيهِمْ ، فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى : وَمَا كَانَ اللَّهُ لِيُضِيعَ إِيمَانَكُمْ سورة البقرة آية 143 .
