وَلَيْسَ عِنْدَهُ أَحَدٌ غَيْرُنَا ، فَأَقْبَلَ الْحَسَنُ وَالْحُسَيْنُ ابْنَا عَلِيٍّ فَسَلَّمَا عَلَيْهِ ثُمَّ ذَهَبَا ، فَقَالَ : إِنَّ هَذَيْنِ يَزْعُمَانِ أَنَّ الْمَهْدِي مِنْ وَلَدِهِمَا ، أَلا وَإِنَّ السَّفَّاحَ ، وَالْمَنْصُورَ ، وَالْمَهْدِيَّ مِنْ وَلَدِي " .
