، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا الأَسْوَدِ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ مِنْ بَنِي أَسَدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعُزَّى يَتِيمَ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ ، يَقُولُ : " أَوْصَى عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَوْفٍ فِي السَّبِيلِ بِخَمْسِينَ أَلْفَ دِينَارٍ " .
