كَانَ يُؤَرَّقُ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ , فَذَكَرَ ذَلِكَ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " فَأَمَرَهُ أَنْ يَتَعَوَّذَ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّةِ مِنْ غَضَبِ اللَّهِ وَعِقَابِهِ وَمِنْ شَرِّ عِبَادِهِ , وَمِنْ هَمَزَاتِ الشَّيَاطِينِ أَنْ يَحْضُرُونَ " .
