Abu Bakr bin Muhammad al-Tayyib Mawla Aidid was a Ba Alawi religious figure associated with the port of al-Shihr in Hadramawt. Al-Mashra al-Rawi describes his study of jurisprudence and spiritual disciplines and his close association with scholars and devotional communities. It particularly remembers his social service: maintaining family ties, assisting widows and orphans, receiving travellers and supporting people who sought his help. The source states that he remained in al-Shihr until his death there in 1011 AH. Its devotional descriptions of his spiritual states are preserved as traditional testimony rather than asserted as independent historical fact.
