Local draft

Privacy Policy

A privacy-policy placeholder for review before any public release.

What this draft anticipates

The newsletter is not open yet and the current visitor-facing page does not collect an email address. The separate local contribution prototype stores a contributor email privately with the pending review record so a future reviewer can understand who supplied the material; that email is not rendered as public archive content and no message is sent.

The site should collect only information necessary for a stated purpose. The local contribution record may also contain the selected contribution type, the submitted note, consent, an optional source or video URL and a received-at timestamp. Sensitive identity documents, passwords, private family records and private correspondence should not be submitted through the prototype. Publication does not certify lineage or endorse religious claims.

This is not legal advice and is not a final production policy. A public release still requires reviewed rules for privacy, access, retention, deletion, contact, corrections and any future newsletter provider before those workflows are activated beyond the local environment.
