رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ فَدَخَلَ الْمَسْجِدَ ، فَقَالَ عُثْمَانُ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ : يَا عَلِيُّ قَدْ نَصَبْتَ الْقِدْرَ عَلَى أَثَافٍ . قَالَ : " مَا جِئْتُ إِلا وَأَنَا أُرِيدُ أَنْ أُصْلِحَ أَمْرَ النَّاسِ ، فَأَمَّا إِذَا اتَّهَمْتَنِي فَسَأَرْجِعُ إِلَى بَيْتِي " .
