أَنْشَدَنِي أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ التَّمِيمِيُّ : " بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَ لِئَامِ النَّاسِ مَعتَبَةٌ مَا تَنْقَضِي وَكِرَامُ النَّاسِ خِلانِي إِذَا لَقِيتُ لَئِيمَ الْقَوْمِ أَبْغَضَنِي وَإِنْ لَقِيتُ كَرِيمَ الْقَوْمِ حَيَّانِي " .
