يَقُولُ : " مَنْ قَرَأَ مِنْكُمْ عَلَى حَرْفٍ فَلا يَتَحَوَّلَنَّ ، وَلَوْ أَعْلَمُ أَحَدًا أَعْلَمَ مِنِّي بِكِتَابِ اللَّهِ لأَتَيْتُهُ " .
