رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ , فَكَتَبَ عُمَرُ أَنْ يُقْتَلَ ، فَجَعَلُوا يَقُولُونَ : اقْتُلْ حُنَيْنُ , فَيَقُولُ : حَتَّى يَجِيءَ الْغَيْظُ . قَالَ : فَكَتَبَ أَنْ يُودَى وَلا يُقْتَلَ .
