" اسْتَأْذَنَ عَائِشَةَ فِي حَيَاتِهِ ، فَأَذِنَتْ لَهُ فِي أَنْ يُدْفَنَ فِي بَيْتِهَا . فَلَمَّا حَضَرَتْهُ الْوَفَاةُ ، قَالَ : إِذَ مُتُّ فَاسْتَأْذِنُوهَا فَإِنْ أَذِنَتْ لَكُمْ وَإِلا فَدَعُوهَا ، فَإِنِّي أَخْشَى أَنْ تَكُونَ أَذِنَتْ لِي لِسُلْطَانِي ، فَلَمَّا مَاتَ أَذِنَتْ لَهُمْ " .
