قَالَ : " فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لِأَحْمَدَ بْنِ صَالِحٍ ، مَقْدَمَهُ دِمَشْقَ سَنَةَ سَبْعَ عَشْرَةَ وَمِائَتَيْنِ فَأَنْكَرَهُ ، وَقَالَ : تُوُفِّيَ عُقْبَةُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ فِي خِلَافَةِ مُعَاوِيَةَ " .
